Pros

The guesthouse retains original 18th-century features, including oak paneling in the hallway.

All rooms include foot spas with complimentary toiletries from The Bath House in Sedbergh.

The homemade breakfast menu features locally sourced ingredients and freshly baked sourdough bread.

Secure bike storage is available for guests exploring the Walney-to-Wear cycling route.

The property can arrange activities such as paragliding and horse riding.

Cons

The single room's private bathroom is located across the landing, not ensuite.

Limited dining options within walking distance require short drives to nearby villages.

“This B&B, centrally located for those tackling the Coast to Coast walk, left a lasting impression of warmth and meticulous care. What stood out was not just the comfort, from cozy rooms to luxurious bathrobes, but the genuine hospitality. I especially appreciated the small touches, like homemade cake and fresh-baked sourdough, which transformed a simple stay into a memorable experience.”
